- ASEAN established the ASEAN Working Group on Water Resources Management (AWGWRM) to enhance regional cooperation on freshwater management in the ASEAN region.
- As part of its strategic plan to promote Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in ASEAN Member States (AMS) the AWGWRM has implemented a number of IWRM-related projects. This website provides detailed annual reports on the IWRM performance in ASEAN countries for six key water management issues based on carefully selected sets of performance indicators.
- The six key water management issues are – (a) Water Supply Management, (b) Irrigation Management, (c) Stormwater Management, (d) Flood Management, (e) Water Pollution Management, (f) Sanitation Management.
- This website also provides an IWRM overview in each ASEAN country and blogposts of water-related news and events in the ASEAN countries.

The Department of Irrigation and Drainage, Malaysia conducted the Sixth International Course on Flood Mitigation and Stormwater Management 2015 under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) 2015. The 12-days course was conducted in Kuala Lumpur from 17 to 28 August 2015 for about 20 participants from various countries.read more
