- ASEAN established the ASEAN Working Group on Water Resources Management (AWGWRM) to enhance regional cooperation on freshwater management in the ASEAN region.
- As part of its strategic plan to promote Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in ASEAN Member States (AMS) the AWGWRM has implemented a number of IWRM-related projects. This website provides detailed annual reports on the IWRM performance in ASEAN countries for six key water management issues based on carefully selected sets of performance indicators.
- The six key water management issues are – (a) Water Supply Management, (b) Irrigation Management, (c) Stormwater Management, (d) Flood Management, (e) Water Pollution Management, (f) Sanitation Management.
- This website also provides an IWRM overview in each ASEAN country and blogposts of water-related news and events in the ASEAN countries.
